No More Music For NBA YoungBoy: Misfits Boxing Next?
Kentrell DeSean Gaulden aka “NBA YoungBoy” , finds himself amidst house arrest due to federal firearms charges but is setting his sights on a new venture: the boxing ring.
The 24-year-old rapper, also recognized in the boxing community through his connection to Floyd Mayweather’s daughter, Yaya Mayweather, sees boxing as his next career chapter. This shift could prove to be a lucrative move, tapping into his considerable following and the intrigue surrounding his foray into the sport.
His brother, Rodrick “OG 3Three” Jeanpierre, has been vocal about YoungBoy’s boxing ambitions, igniting buzz on social media platforms. A post by Happy Punch, revealing YoungBoy’s pivot from music to boxing, has spurred fans to lobby for KSI’s promoter, Mams Taylor, and the Misfits Boxing co-owner to ink a deal with the artist swiftly.
OG 3Three stated, “NBA YoungBoy is ditching music for boxing,” as he discusses the rapper’s preparedness to dominate in a new arena, mentioning, “We’re done exceeding in music. Forget about album releases; we’re set with 21 songs and albums. It’s time for boxing now… We need the best trainer… and we’ll secure our promoter.” He boldly calls out to potential contenders, declaring, “Let’s get it on,” sparking excitement and conversation among fans.
The suggestion to align NBA YoungBoy with Misfits Boxing, a dominant force in the crossover boxing landscape, reflects the enthusiasm and support from his followers and the broader community eager to see his transition into the sport.
