Derek Chisora Predicts KSI Will Showcase New Boxing Styles vs Dillon Danis

British heavyweight boxer Derek Chisora has voiced his belief that KSI will display a variety of boxing styles in his upcoming fights, deviating from the approach seen in his last two bouts.

As both fighters train at London Shootfighters, Chisora has had the opportunity to witness KSI’s training and development firsthand.

KSI, whose boxing career has spanned seven years, has often faced criticism for his unrefined technique, with many questioning whether his skills have evolved at a pace reflective of his time in the sport. His most recent fight against Tommy Fury saw him rely almost exclusively on a star-jumping style, inspired by unorthodox striker Michael ‘Venom’ Page. Many critics argue that this approach was ineffective against a technically disciplined boxer like Fury and ultimately contributed to his loss.

The blame for KSI’s shortcomings in the ring has been widely directed at his coach and manager, Alex Demetriades. Fans and analysts have accused Demetriades of poor decision-making in KSI’s training regimen, opponent selection, and fight structure. One of the key points of contention has been KSI’s fights being limited to six rounds, which some believe has hindered his conditioning and ability to adapt in longer bouts.

This stands in contrast to fellow YouTube-boxer-turned-professional-fighter AnEsonGib, who made his Misfits Boxing debut in an eight-round fight against Slim Albaher. Gib’s longer bouts have allowed him to showcase greater endurance and a more measured fighting style, something that many argue KSI has yet to develop.

Despite the setbacks, Chisora remains optimistic that KSI will make necessary adjustments and introduce new techniques in future fights. Whether this means refining his boxing fundamentals, adopting a more traditional approach, or incorporating fresh strategies from his training at London Shootfighters, remains to be seen. However, with critics closely watching and expectations high, KSI has a lot to prove against Dillon Danis on March 29th if he hopes to silence the doubters and solidify his position in the crossover boxing world.
