Joey Essex to Make Boxing Debut Against Numeiro at Misfits 22: Till vs Rockhold

British TV personality Joey Essex is stepping into the influencer boxing ring for the first time, officially making his debut at Misfits 22: Ring of Thrones on August 30, 2025, in Manchester.

Essex will face off against Portuguese content creator Numeiro, adding another high-profile influencer bout to a stacked card already headlined by Darren Till vs Luke Rockhold.

Essex Steps in After Deji Fight Collapsed

Essex was originally scheduled to fight Deji in 2023, but that matchup never materialized. Now at age 34, he finally makes his debut in the crossover boxing scene. Despite being a reality TV star best known for The Only Way Is Essex, Joey is no stranger to the sport, he comes from a boxing family and has reportedly trained quietly for years.

His debut has been in the works for some time, and Misfits 22 offers a huge platform to launch his fighting chapter in front of a global audience.

Numeiro Seeks Redemption

Essex’s opponent, Numeiro, is a Portuguese YouTuber with one prior fight, a decision loss to a professional boxer. Numeiro is currently 0-1 in the scene but earned respect for taking on a tough opponent in his debut. He now gets a more even matchup, and a chance to get his first win under the bright lights.

Misfits 22: A Growing Spectacle

Already boasting Darren Till vs Luke Rockhold and Tony Ferguson vs Salt Papi, Misfits 22 is shaping up as one of the promotion’s biggest cards ever. With Joey Essex vs Numeiro added, the event continues to deliver on Misfits’ signature blend of combat sports, influencer energy, and viral moments.
