Jake Paul Will Be Ranked In The WBC If He Defeats Tommy Fury February 26th!

Jake Paul needs one more victory to become officially a recognized fighter.

In a press statement issued on Wednesday, WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman stated that if Paul defeats Tommy Fury on February 26 in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia, the WBC ratings committee will assign Paul to the cruiserweight division.

The fight will feature two boxers who have perfect pro records. YouTube sensation Paul has a perfect 6-0 record as a professional, mostly taking on non-boxers like Nate Robinson of the NBA and UFC fighters Anderson Silva, Tyron Woodley, and Ben Askren. Paul recently defeated Silva in an eight-round fight by unanimous decision.

Fury is likewise unbeaten, with an 8-0 record against primarily amateur boxers. He is Tyson Fury’s half-brother, the heavyweight legend.

40 names are listed in the current WBC rankings. If Paul wins in his next battle, it is unknown what position he will move up the rankings.
