Tommy Fury Dominates Jake Paul And A Rematch is Already In The Works
Tommy Fury emerged victorious over Jake Paul by split decision in their fight which took place last month in Saudi Arabia. Paul, who immediately called for a rematch, attributed his loss to illness and injury.
There are reports that a rematch between Jake Paul and Tommy Fury could take place merely five months after their first fight. In the initial bout, Fury emerged victorious by a split decision, with the judges scoring the fight 76-73, 76-73, 74-75 in his favor. However, Fury faced some challenges during the match as he was knocked down and received a point deduction for holding, which made the fight tougher than he had anticipated. Furthermore, in the fifth round, when Fury was already leading 3-1, Paul was penalized for hitting him in the back of the head. Some viewers believed that the referee’s decision to deduct a point from Paul was too severe.
Following the fight, Jake Paul, the YouTuber turned boxer, called for an immediate rematch and attributed his loss to an “arm injury” and “illness,” while Tommy Fury urged him to accept the challenge. ESPN now reports that the two fighters may have their wish granted sooner than anticipated, with a second bout potentially taking place as early as July.
