Dillon Danis Returns.. Set for Misfits MMA Debut Against Andrew Tate Affiliate Warren Spencer
Dillon Danis is stepping back into the fight game, but this time, it’s not boxing.
The controversial jiu-jitsu specialist and influencer fighter will make his MMA return under the Misfits MMA banner, in what will be the promotion’s first-ever mixed martial arts event. His opponent? Warren Spencer, a fast-rising name in the Tate-affiliated fight circle.
Danis Makes MMA Comeback After Logan Paul Loss
Danis last fought on the KSI vs Tommy Fury undercard, where he took on Logan Paul in one of the most chaotic and talked-about influencer boxing bouts of 2023. The fight ended in a lopsided decision win for Paul, with Danis offering little offense and stirring controversy with post-fight antics. Since then, he’s stayed active online — but absent from the cage or ring.
Now, he returns to his roots: MMA. Known for his Brazilian jiu-jitsu background and ties to Conor McGregor, Danis will finally put his grappling to the test again, this time in Misfits’ highly anticipated event headlined by Darren Till vs Luke Rockhold and with the one and only Tony Ferguson facing Salt Papi in the co-main on Misfits 22 August 30 in AO Arena, Manchester.
Who Is Warren Spencer?
Warren Spencer is a relatively new face in the influencer fight space but comes with serious backing. Affiliated with Andrew Tate’s training circle, Spencer has a developing reputation as a hard-hitting striker with solid athleticism and conditioning.
Spencer has a 3-2 boxing record. While this will mark his first pro MMA bout, his training with high-level strikers in Romania under Tate’s supervision has built intrigue around his potential.
Fight Style and Rule Set Still in Development
The Danis vs. Spencer bout is rumored to take place in a boxing ring, not a traditional MMA cage — reminiscent of the PRIDE FC era in Japan. Misfits has yet to confirm the full ruleset, but early chatter suggests modified MMA rules, potentially allowing for longer ground exchanges or striking-specific limitations to suit the crossover appeal.
This experimental format fits Misfits’ ongoing mission to blur the lines between combat sports and entertainment.
